My PSA just shows many pictures about kids working on civil engineer projects. It pretty much just says to learn about Civil engineering in a fun and exciting way. Learning can be very fun, if you fo exciting activities!

How to write a public service announcement

This article was great! I t really helps you think deep into what you are going to make your PSA about. It helps you focus on the big important message because that is what is needed to be broadcasted. It is definitely an article that will help me create my PSA. I never thought that sound effects were very important to the PSA but they make a difference. Sound effects attract your audience allot more and get their attention. Sound effects and background music makes the audience feel the mood of the PSA, whether it is sad, mad, happy, the audience will feel it. Allot of these points I already knew about but the article went more into dept with what to do.

At the beginning I will put up facts about the U.S. needing engineers. Then I will put that kids will be the new generation of Civil Engineers. It is important that we teach our kids and get them engaged. We must make learning fun though and interesting. Kids are our future and we need to get them prepared to do great projects to help us with the world.
My PSA will consist of many facts and animated text and a voice reading the text out loud. A few pictures will also be added along with the text.

Begin preliminary identification of Presentation capstone elements

My capstone project will include constructing. It will be the hands on models that the kids will be creating.
-I will use a large poster board to show what I will be teaching and how it will be done. It will have the different models that will be created.
-The appropriate dressing will be a hard hat and bright orange workers vest. It will really add more to the whole civil engineering scene.
-The most important points needed to be addressed are the need for civil engineers and how we are going to teach them and get them involved.
-I will make a brochure and a brief outline of how lessons will be.

Discuss look and feel issues

-My presentation will have a serious point of view to it because we need more engineers so it is a serious problem. We need to get the message across and teach the kids about engineering. 
-My presentation must be colorful and stand out. Kids are visual learners and learn by also doing hands on a activities. I need to make something that will attract every kids attention and make them want to learn more about it.I need to have models of what the kids will be working on and also have kids in my video.
-Hopefully I will persuade the kids with all of the fun activities and bright colors. I will do things that kids enjoying doing while learning.
-I will make my point of view by having statistics and real facts about needing Civil Engineers.
-I will write an essay with facts and steps that I will do to teach these children. I will also create models for kids to work on to see what a civil engineer does in the work force. In the end of the lesson and the hands on activities I will have a survey for the kids to fill out asking very simple questions and opinions of what they though about the lesson.

Thinking ahead on PSA

In my PSA I will emphasize how I will inform kids about civil engineering and what are the things that I will do.
I will show the importance that it is to teach kids about this field or any other kind of field.
-key points: Emphasize that we need civil engineers in the future and that teaching kids now is a great idea.

Teaching children Civil Engineering

 -My senior capstone project is to teach young children about civil engineering. My goal is to get them to get a feel for what the civil engineering field is and what engineers do in their work force. I want children to get a sense about engineering by doing some hands on activities and getting them involved. I want to make learning about engineering fun.
 - It is very important that we get more engineers in these upcoming years. As of now there is a high demand of engineers. The United States goes out of their way and gets engineers from other countries to come into the United States and that costs allot of money. That is unnecessary money being wasted, because we can just educate more people here about engineering and then have more engineers in our future.
   -By achieving these goals I know that once I am done with my engineering career there will be more and maybe even brighter engineers coming into the civil engineering field. We will not have to worry about having a lack of engineers.
   -Having more engineers will help our society out allot by not having to go to other countries and bring in engineers from there. We will have more brains to think together and come up with better projects and ideas to make sure our community and society is safe. Buildings, roadways, bridges etc. will be better built and much safer. People will not have to be so worried about a miscalculation or a mistake. We can even have buildings etc. better for the environment, something that is more Eco friendly.
   -By teaching these kids I will always help them feel as if they do have a big and bright future ahead of them. Now they will know more about the civil Engineering career and lifestyle. I enjoy helping kids and by doing this I will be teaching them what my major is and inspiring them all at the same time.
